David created an at-home putter fitting system that received a Top Ten Most Innovative and Beneficial Products in the Golf Industry award.
Before cell-phone technology offered high-quality cameras, high-speed video, and fast internet connections, David developed an at-home putter fitting system that allowed golfers to record their putting stroke using a standard video camera and send it in.
Each golfer then received a detailed analysis of their putting stroke, along with personalized recommendations for proper putter loft and lie.
Introduced the concept of membership-based Satellite internet Golf Instructions.
Back in the day when dial-up internet connections were still popular and High-Speed internet, cable, or fiber optics, David presented a satellite-based internet broadcast to a member's only golf community.
Classic Golf Magazine and United Airlines
David negotiated an agreement with United Airlines to create and launch his own Golf magazine that United Airlines would place onboard 146,000 flights per issue along with their Red Carpet Club, making it the 3rd largest read Golf Magazine in country with it's very first issue.
Unfortunately, the terrorist attack of September 11, 2021 put the airline industry into an immediate downward spin and advertisers were hesitant about the future. The magazine was then placed in a hold cycle.
8 Camera High-Speed Visual Motion Analysis System
David released the first custom putter analysis system available to the public. The system captured high-speed recordings from up to eight cameras simultaneously, positioned at eight different angles, providing unprecedented visual feedback for both golfers and instructors.
At the time, the industry standard relied on a single video camera that was moved to different positions to capture various swing angles. David recognized a critical flaw in this approach: each recording represented a different swing, and because it is biomechanically rare for two swings to be exactly the same, the feedback was inherently inconsistent and inaccurate.
David’s system solved this problem by capturing all angles at the same moment, and it was available for both putting and full-swing analysis.
Upon release, the system received significant recognition from a National PGA Teacher of the Year, the Director of the American Sports Medicine Institute, University Hall of Fame golf instructors, and other leading professionals in the industry.
He then took it a step further and incorporated other sports such as Baseball, Football, Soccer, Tennis and more. David utilized the system with major institutions like ith Notre Dame, Chicago Bears,multiple Universities and more.
Consulted for a famous Hockey Grip Style Putter
David was called upon by the founders of a company that wanted to create a hocky putter grip style putter. They were looking for advice and direction on how to best create and launch their new hockey stick grip style putter. David immediately noticed they intended to use a cast putter with a hosel and explained the hosel would crack if pressure was applied to bend it to create the necessary angle.
After some research, David ordered some components for product testing, David realized by using a center shafted hoselless putter with a triple bend shaft it would create the perfect angle for the hockey stick grip putting style they were after.
