The History
Almost 25 years ago, business strategist David De John took on a formidable challenge. He was invited to help build Bettinardi Putters as its Vice President. The obstacles were daunting: no advertising budget, no sales team, no brand recognition, and a product priced among the highest in the industry.
He started reaching out to potential sales reps and shared his bold vision: Join a commission-only team, where you had to purchase your own expensive putter samples, and make sales with no brochures, no website, and zero advertising support.
By the grace of God, one after another top quality experienced and ethical sales reps stepped forward and joined David on this incredible journey. A journey they would remember for the rest of their lives.
On the machining side of the business was Paul—a skilled craftsman who had overseen putter milling for top brands including Scotty Cameron, Bettinardi, Tear Drop, and Mizuno while at Xcel Technologies, Bettinardi’s machining facility.
Years later, David and Paul reconnected. Paul had since launched his own high-precision machining facility. As they reminisced, the question came up: Had David ever thought about returning to the putter world?

That conversation sparked something powerful. One thing led to another—and David Launched USA Putters, Inc. A company where ALL components were made in the USA. The putter heads were milled on American made milling machines (not Japanese like most other companies), the grips and shafts were American made, and the putter was proundy assembled in the USA.
